1. US Whitewater Slalom Foundation up and running
Scott Shipley has stepped capably into operations of the Whitewater Slalom Foundation. A description of the Foundation can be found at

3. The Slalom World Championships kickoff September 9-13, 2009 in Seu d'Urgell, Spain, site of the 1992 Slalom Olympics. Follow results at http://worldseu09.parcolimpic.com Friday is the C-1 Women Demonstration event (first ever). Sunday is the finals in all classes. You can also follow Joe Jacobi blogs on the event at www.joejacobi.com while his 6 year old daughter Seu Jane visits her namesake town for the first time.

4. National Championships and World Rankings Race October 2-4
US Whitewater Center Charlotte, North Carolina http://www.usnwc.org/
Since this is a World Rankings Race, expect some highly accomplished international paddlers to be in attendance. If you haven't seen this amazing facility, this would be a great time to go.

5. We will have a small US team alumni event Saturday evening at the Nationals October 3rd. Contact Scott Shipley to rsvp scott@s2odesign.net

Note: An international event originally scheduled for September 25-26 at Adventure Sports Center in McHenry, Maryland has been cancelled due to water availability and cost.
